The Annual General Meeting of the Whitehorse Rifle & Pistol Club is scheduled for Sunday January 31, at the clubhouse on Grey Mountain Road.
Doors open at noon. Meeting starts at 2 PM.
If you renew your membership prior to January 28, 2016 AND you were issued a gate key in 2015, AND you hand that key in, your 2016 membership card and gate key will be available for pick up at the clubhouse before the meeting starts.
On Sunday January 31st last-minute membership renewals will be accepted until 1:30 PM. You will be requested to complete a membership registration form at this time in order to ensure all memberships are recorded correctly. Gate keys for 2015 can be turned in at this time. Issuance of 2016 membership cards and gate keys will follow by mail.
Members in good standing are eligible to vote at the meeting and can be nominated for an Executive Office (president, vice president, secretary, treasurer) or be nominated/appointed to the Board of Directors. This is a new item that was implemented last year with the revision of the club’s bylaws.

The Yukon Shooting Federation is the governing body for the shooting sports in the Yukon. The objectives of this critical organization are to sponsor shooting competitions, to assist shooting clubs and organizations ; standardize shooting regulations and practices within the Yukon; and, act as the Territorial body for any form of shooting in which its members may wish to participate.
The Annual General Meeting will be held at NOON Saturday May 30th at the Whitehorse Rifle & Pistol Club on Grey Mountain Road.
Interested in learning how you can be involved in supporting the shooting sports for yourself or your kids? Interested in becoming a shooting coach? Maybe you are up for the challenge of being a member of the Executive or Board of Directors. Come and hear how you can volunteer to be part of the action.
The Yukon Rifle Silhouette Championships will be happening on Saturday and Sunday May 30 & 31 so the rifle range is not available during this time.

Members in good standing – those whose membership dues are paid up for the current year – are eligible to vote at the meeting, although only one vote per membership classification is permitted. A member in good standing can be nominated for an Executive Office (president, vice president, secretary, treasurer). A member in good standing can also be nominated/appointed to the Board of Directors. This is a new item that will be implemented once the Registrar of Societies approves the revised WRPC 2015 bylaws.
Gate locks will be changed after the meeting. Members in good standing who hand in their assigned 2014 gate key can receive their 2015 gate key at the AGM.

On Sunday February 15, 2015 a Special General Meeting will be held at 2 pm in the clubhouse for the purpose of passing a Special Resolution to replace the existing 1993 Constitution and Bylaws with the revised January 2015 version.
Whereas a motion was made and adopted by those accredited members present at the Annual General Meeting held January 13, 2013 which directed that the existing Constitution and Bylaws (1993) be reviewed and revised, the following resolution is hereby made:
Replace the existing Constitution and Bylaws of the Whitehorse Rifle & Pistol Club dated March 11, 1993 in its entirety with the revised version dated January 15, 2015.
Revisions include an extended time period for scheduling the Annual General Meeting, more detail on roles and responsibilities of club leadership, identification of a Board of Directors, clarification of procedures governing meetings, and addition of guidance policies.
