Membership Renewals for 2020 member year

As of October 6, 2020 WRPC is now required to charge GST on our products and services. This will apply to membership fees, user fees, targets and ammunition and Canadian Firearms Safety Courses.

Renewals of WRPC membership for the 2020 year, which expires March 31, 2021, are still being accepted. If your membership lapses for a year or more you will be required to participate in a range orientation to receive a gate key.

By mail – to WRPC, Box 30078, Whitehorse, Yukon Y1A 5M2. Send completed member form with cheque or money order or include credit card details and signature.

By email: – to secretary@wrpc.ca. Include credit card details and signature.

By EFT (electronic funds transfer) – from your bank to secretary@wrpc.ca. Email member form separately.

The dated renewal sticker will be mailed out along with the 2020 gate key IF you had a membership in 2019 AND were issued a 2019 gate key.

If you return your 2019 gate key by mail, tape it to a small piece of cardboard or paper so that it does not become loose and escape from the envelope during its travel through the postal service. Otherwise, just hang onto it for the time being.

Youth Air Rifle Program – Cancelled as of March 17, 2020

Indoor Range Winter Season – Closed as of March 16, 2020

Indoor Range now closed

Effective immediately, Wednesday March 18, 2020, at 1:30 PM, the indoor range is now closed. No shooting activities will be conducted in the indoor range until further notice.

Access to the indoor range normally concludes at the end of March, however; the declaration of a public health emergency today by the Yukon Chief Medical Officer of Health has directed that all indoor public recreational facilities be closed immediately in response to the mitigation strategies for the COVID-19 pandemic.

CANCELLATION of Firearms Safety CourseS

The Canadian Firearms Safety Course, originally scheduled for this weekend March 21 & 22, 2020 is cancelled. Registered participants will be contacted by phone.

No additional courses will be scheduled as long as the local public health measures, that are currently in place to control the transmission of COVID-19, are in effect.

The public health direction requiring social distancing of at least one metre cannot be achieved in this particular teaching environment. This places all participants at risk for acquiring this new respiratory disease. It is for this reason that we must cancel this program for the time being.
