Saturday June 7, 2025 the Whitehorse Rifle & Pistol Club will be celebrating 75 years as a volunteer organization dedicated to the shooting sports.
From the Macrae Range to Haekel Hill to the basement of Whitehorse Elementary school and finally to the current site on Grey Mountain Road the club continues to support a variety of recreational shooting activities, competitions and educational programs.
This event begins at noon and will wind up at 4 pm. All range areas will be off limits for personal use by club members during this time. Club members may resume their personal shooting activity after this celebratory event is concluded.
There will be door prizes and food including a piece of anniversary cake. And an opportunity for you to try your shooting skill with Trap and some .22 rimfire targets. The club will have firearms available for you to use so you can leave your firearms at home. Range Safety Officers will be on site to make sure everyone behaves in a safe manner when on the gun range and at the firing line.
Entry fee is $5.00 for each person 10 years of age and older. Bring your safety glasses and hearing protection and firearms license (PAL) if you have them. If you cannot leave them at home, all dogs must be leashed and pet parents are expected to pick up after any pet deposits.
All activity is outdoors so dress for the weather. Maybe bring a camp chair, too.
